Principles of consulting.

Philosophical history
Any business as a living organism. Can a company successfully develop on its own? You will say that it is real. And the man? It is not known what would happen if he did not know how to heal. And doctors successfully help him in this.
In the business environment, however, this is consulting, a service that has arisen according to the law of supply and demand. The emergence of the first consulting firms contributed to the development of the “Theory of Scientific Business Management”, which originated in the second half of the 19th century. The main postulate of this theory can be formulated as follows: “Using observations, logic and analysis, we can optimize most of the operations and business processes, making them more effective to carry out”.
Wikipedia calls Arthur D.Little in accounting, and Buuz Allen Hamilton in management consulting as the first consulting companies. By ecumenical standards, one and a half centuries is quite recently. Since then, on our continent in 1960, the European Federation of Economic and Management Consultants (FEACO) was successfully organized. Standards for a world-class profession are set by the International Council of Associations of Management Consultants – CMC GLOBAL. Currently, it includes 52 countries.
Kinds of consulting
Consulting is consulting of managers and managers on strategic, legal, financial and other issues. Accordingly, an expert with expert knowledge and advice in a particular area is called a consultant.
The need for consulting comes not only at the stage of “extinguishing the fire”. Consultants are also attracted to achieve specific goals of the company: accelerating growth rates, optimizing costs, introducing information systems, and entering IPOs. The published information about the results of the company’s audit is a necessary image component of the business, affecting its value in the eyes of investors.
According to the FEACO classification, the following areas of consulting can be distinguished:
Strategic. Market analysis, business planning, strategy development, management of large structural reorganizations.
Operating. Integration of business solutions into all processes: relationships with suppliers, customers, logistics, research and product development.
Sales and marketing. Evaluation and launch of a set of sales promotion measures. Portfolio management and branding, digital marketing.
Finance and risk management. Analysis, planning and implementation of management models aimed at optimizing enterprise risks: credit, operational, market and others.
Human resources and change. Personnel strategies, staff development, motivation and remuneration systems.
Technology. Strategic support for decisions related to the planning and implementation of new technologies for business applications. Including IT networks, as well as security and data center architecture.
Specific issues. For example, environmental, legal, consulting in the public sector or in the field of telecommunications.
Please note that the consultant does not have a “magic wand” that fulfills any desires of the investor and the business owner. A competent specialist will help to understand the pressing problems and will indicate the most acceptable way out of the current situation.

What does the master of the business look like – consulting consultant? As a rule, this is a person with sufficient experience in the field of management and business construction, with an analytical mind, operating with common sense and iron logic.
